cadets are adequately dressed and equipped for the day’s activities (e.g.
advise them what to wear, what to take, how to pack the rucsac etc) |

carried out efficiently |

assist with issuing and
recovering group equipment |

assist with food preparation
(includes helping to prepare and serve meals, supervising the preparation of
lunches and running a course "tuck shop") |

provide assistance and back-up
for instructors on the hill. (e.g. provide early warning if a cadet becomes
excessively cold or tired , give help and advice to cadets during training
in navigation, rope-work, emergency procedures etc) |

be ready to motivate and
encourage cadets when necessary (e.g. when cold, tired or bored) |

look for cadets having personal
or physical difficulties and
ensure that the course commander is aware of the situation |
